Gingerbread Cake with Stout Buttercream. Our old fashioned gingerbread cake combines the comfort flavors or molasses, cinnamond, and ginger. Earlier generations would bake this cake in a cast-iron skillet. We've lightened and heightened it up a bit, but still maintain its original quality.This is a "naked" frosted cake - - Frosting between layers only. Moist and nostalgic!
